Since his professional career started at age eleven, he has gone on to perform all around the world as a featured soloist with the Duquesne University Tamburitzans and with his own bands. He has also been a staff musician/arranger at Walt Disney World in Florida for over 7 years in addition to performing, producing and engineering over 70 recordings for himself and other artists - including a track on the 1994 Grammy award winner with Canada's Polka King, Walter Ostanek. His expertise on the button accordion has astounded audiences and critics although he is equally adept on piano accordion, bass guitar, keyboards, drums, string bass and vocals in eleven languages. Although Al's versatility allows him to perform many kinds of music, he chooses to specialize in the ethnic music he has loved for his entire life.

For over thirty-five years Al Meixner recorded and produced quality recordings
for numerous international folk, jazz, polka, rock and country music artists. From 1972 to 1986 he owned and operated Jo-Al Records in Coplay, PA where he produced and recorded over 35 albums. From 1989 to 1995 Euro-Class Studios of Orlando, Florida was his base of operations which produced over 30 recordings including a track on a Grammy award winning album!

From 1995 to 2008 River's Bend Recording, in Laurys Station, PA, was Al Meixner's state of the art digital, analog and MIDI studio complex. Al Meixner developed a reputation for having the highest standards for sound quality and musicality. He had a unique ability to maximize the artist's performance in the studio.

Sinds zijn professionele carrière begon op elfjarige leeftijd was hij altijd maar onderweg om op te treden, over de hele wereld. Als solo artiest, als lid van de Duquesne University Tamburitzans, of met zijn eigen bands. Al was overigens voor meer dan 7 jaar staf muzikant/arrangeur bij Walt Disney World in Florida. Hij produceerde inmiddels meer dan 70 opnames voor zichzelf en andere artiesten. Inclusief een track op het album uit 1994 van Canada's Polka King Walter Ostanek wat een Grammy Award won. Zijn expertise op de button accordeon is fabelachtig, aldus publiek en critici. Al speelt ook niet onverdienstelijk piano accordeon, basgitaar, keyboards, drums, contrabas en daarbij zingt hij maar liefst in elf talen. Hoewel de veelzijdigheid van Al geen grenzen kent, maakt hij voornamelijk etnische muziek. Zijn hele leven draagt hij dat genre al een warm hart toe.  

Meer dan vijfendertig jaar specialiseerde Al Meixner zich in opnamen en producties, kwaliteit opnamen voor verschillende internationale folk, jazz, polka, rock en country artiesten. Van 1972 tot 1986 was hij eigenaar van Jo-Al Records in Coplay, PA. Hij produceerde op dat label meer dan 35 albums. Van 1989 tot 1995 had hij zijn eigen Euro-Class Studios in Orlando, Florida. Al Meixner's digitale, analoge en Midi studio complex had een goede reputatie wat betreft de hoge geluidskwaliteit en muzikaliteit. Als producer had hij de gave om de prestaties van de artiesten in de studio optimaal te maximaliseren.
