Biography

Anthony Culkar from Cleveland, Ohio has been playing accordion and piano for eight years. He also plays saxophone, clarinet, bassoon and xylophone.  Anthony is the son of Cleveland accordionist Frank Culkar, and has been playing with The Culkar Trio for 2 years.  He is also seen many times sitting in with bands such as Johnny Pastirik, Wayne Tomsic and Eric Noltkamper.  He has been a guest performer on an album done by the Wayne Tomsic Band. Anthony has been a member of the SNPJ Circle #2 Slovenian Junior Chorus for 10 years, and is now taking over for his dad as the piano accompanist.  With Circle 2, Anthony and his dad had the honor of performing at Disneyworld’s Magic Music Days in Orlando, Florida in the summer of 2006. Anthony, like his father, has mastered both the piano and chromatic accordions.  Playing polka music is his favorite hobby, and he will continue to play as long as he has an audience.      

Anthony Culkar uit Cleveland, Ohio speelt alweer acht jaar accordeon en piano. Hij bespeelt ook de saxofoon, klarinet, fagot en xylofoon. Anthony is de zoon van Cleveland accordeonist Frank Culkar. Hij speelt alweer twee jaar met zijn vader in het Culkar Trio. Ook treed hij vaak op met de bands van Johnny Pastirik, Wayne Tomsic en Eric Noltkamper. Hij was gast artiest op een album van de Wayne Tomsic Band. Anthony is tien jaar lid van het SNPJ Circle #2 Sloveens jongeren koor geweest. Sinds kort neemt hij van zijn vader de rol over als piano begeleider van het koor. Met Circle 2 hadden Anthony en zijn vader de eer in de zomer van 2006 op te treden tijdens de Magische Muziek Dagen van Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida. Anthony, beheerst zoals zijn vader piano en chromatische accordeon. De polkamuziek is zijn favoriete hobby, Anthony zegt dan ook te spelen zolang hij publiek heeft.
