Biography
DENNY ANDERSON
Denny’s musical career started, playing guitar with his father’s band, Merle's Polka
Boys. After his father's band he played string bass with Bob Mastel and the Polka
Sharps a very popular polka band from Minnesota. Denny then met and played his first
job with America’s Polka King Frankie Yankovic & the Yanks. It was a week engagement,
at a popular polka lounge in Virginia, Minnesota and later went on to perform and
record with Frankie Yankovic. Denny has since toured throughout the United States,
Europe, Canada and the Caribbean, and has performed on many national and local television
and radio shows including the National Cleveland Style Polka Hall of Fame All-
ERIC NOLTKAMPER
Eric started his musical career on accordion at the age of 13. At age 15 he played
his first job with America’s Polka King Frankie Yankovic. At age 23, he was nominated
for four awards by the National Cleveland Style Polka Hall of Fame. Since that time
Eric earned an Associate’s Degree in Electronic Communication from the Milwaukee
Area Technical College. He also went on to pursue music and is a multi-
DAVID AUSTIN
Dave began playing accordion at the age of 10, then after winning a talent
contest. He started performing with the Russ Wilson Band of Wisconsin. Dave attended
polka festivals where he met many talented musicians such as Roger Bright, Joey Miskulin,
Joe Fedorchak, Jeff Pecon, and Frankie Yankovic. At age 15, Dave’s father encouraged
him to study music theory in a wide variety of music styles to expand his musical
development. Dave became interested in the art of recording and released his first
recording, Cleveland Style Polkas in (1990). Since then he has recorded and produced
several albums including Why Not Polka (1991), Polkas and Waltzes Just for You (1991),
Memories for You Russ Wilson Orchestra (1992), Hayride Polkas (1992), Russ Wilson
and his Orchestra (1994), Dave Austin Plays Party Time Polkas (1999), It’s a Good
Day (2003) and Sweet Polka Dot. From 1996 to 2001 Dave performed and traveled with
The Roger Bright Band. Currently Dave performs with his own group, The Mike Austin
Band and The International Main Street Polka Band.
CHRIS DOSZAK
Chis Doszak has been playing drums since the age of 6. He grew up in Joliet, Illinois where his father, Bob Doszak, had a very popular polka band. The influence of his father’s band and his older brother, drummer, Bob Doszak Jr., sparked Chris’s interest in music and so he also wanted to play drums. Through out those early years Chris became acquainted with all the greats in the world of polka music, Frankie Yankovic, Verne Meisner, Joey Miskulin, Roger Bright, Myron Floren and the list goes on and on. Chris was a quick study and became a very skilled drummer in very short period of time. He soon began working in his father’s band and also with all those famous polka band leaders that Chris had met. Since those early years Chris has gone on to play and record with some of the finest polka groups in the country. Chris’s relaxed personality, charm and extreme talent sets him apart from all others and a great addition to The International Main Street Polka Band.
