Rodney Yemc
Biography
One of the fastest rising young stars in the 1980s was Rodney Yemc of Jeanette, PA.
Rodney has been playing accordion since he was eight years old. Although only sixteen
years old, Rodney Yemc offering his first solo album. After four years of constant
practice and inspiration, Rodney began traveling to many places throughout Pennsylvania
and Ohio to observe and perform with America’s leading polka artists Frankie Yankovic,
Roger Bright, Joe Fedorchak as well Walter Ostanek from Canada. Being a student of
Mario Mosti and Benzy Rathbone, both accordionists in the western Pennsylvania area.
Rodney has become a protege of Joey Miskulin who see a little of himself in Yemc,
a young polka star, always be rolling down the road with his innovative piano accordion
and button box stylings. Rodney has performed in Canada, Europe (Germany, Yugoslavia,
Austria, Italy, Switzerland) He is well-
Een van de snelst stijgende jonge sterren van de jaren 1980 was Rodney Yemc uit Jeanette, PA. Rodney begon accordeon te spelen toen hij acht jaar oud was. Toen hij zestien jaar oud was presenteerde Rodney Yemc zijn eerste solo album. Na vier jaar van oefenen en inspiratie te hebben opgedaan begon Rodney met het vele reizen naar plaatsen in Pennsylvania en Ohio. Hij trad op met Amerika's belangrijke polka artiesten Frankie Yankovic, Roger Bright, Joe Fedorchak en ook Walter Ostanek uit Canada. Hij was een leerling van Mario Mosti en Benzy Rathbone, beide accordeonisten uit west Pennsylvania. Rodney ontwikkelde zich daarna als een evenbeeld van Joey Miskulin die een beetje van zichzelf in Yemc terug zag. Een jonge polka ster, altijd rijdend, op weg met zijn nieuwe piano accordeon en button box muziek. Rodney trad op in Canada, Europa (Duitsland, Joegoslavië, Oostenrijk, Italië en Zwitserland.) Hij werd bekend door zijn Uncle Lou’s Polka. Originele arrangementen van Rodney, speciaal voor zijn oom Lou Yemc. Momenteel is Yemc eigenaar van zijn Rodney’s Restaurant & Lounge (557 Wendel Road, Irwin, PA.)
