Biography

Originally from Masontown, Pennsylvania, Stan was famous in Cleveland with his Orchestra playing in the Slovenian style of polkas and waltzes for their dancing and listening audiences. Over the years many people have asked, where is Stan Blout? In 1977, Stan and his wife moved with their three children to Southern California due to an employment opportunity. For 35 years, Stan was away from the Polka scene. It certainly is a Blout time since the Stan Blout Band recorded Polka Sounds of the 70's. Stan Blout and his Orchestra are back with a new album (2005) that includes 17 tunes, some original compositions and some paying tribute to Stan's boyhood idols Johnny Pecon, Eddie Habat, Johnny Vadnal, Joe Fedorchak & Joe Luzar. It’s A Blout Time offers 8 originals featuring My Grandsons Polka, Eddies Polka & Nikke’s Waltz. Featured on the 2005 recording are three of the original band members that recorded Polka Sounds of the 70's more than 30 years ago. Stan Blout on accordion and keyboards, Jack Tankovich on sax, clarinet & vocals, and Dennis Marold on bass & vocals. Also featured on the recording is Dave Wolnik on drums, Eddie Rodick III on banjo & guitar, and Ralph Dellagatti Jr. on piano.

Oorspronkelijk komt hij uit Masontown, Pennsylvania, maar Stan werd beroemd in Cleveland met zijn orkest door het spelen van polka's en walsen in de Slovenian style tijdens dansavonden of luisterend publiek. Door de jaren heen vroegen veel mensen zich af waar Stan Blout was? In 1977 verhuisden Stan, zijn vrouw en hun drie kinderen naar Zuid-Californië in verband met zijn werk. Maar liefst 35 jaar was Stan ver weg van de polka scène. Sinds hij met zijn band het album Polka Sounds Of The 70's had hij ook geen opnamen meer gemaakt. Maar Stan Blout en zijn orkest kwamen terug, er was zelfs in 2005 een  nieuw album met 17 songs. Enkele daarvan zijn originele composities, sommige nummers zijn van Stan's zijn idolen zoals Johnny Pecon, Eddie Habat, Johnny Vadnal, Joe Fedorchak & Joe Luzar. Op It's A Blout Time staan 8 origine nummers zoals My Grandsons Polka, Eddies Polka & Nikke’s Waltz. Op het album spelen drie van de originele bandleden mee die ook aan de opnamen van Polka Sounds Of The 70's hebben meegewerkt. Het was 30 jaar geleden dat ze hadden samengeswerkt.
